This paper designed and built a multifunctional room-type calorimeter test platform with rotary dehumidifiers.The experimental apparatus can simulate the air temperature,air humidity and air wind speed parameters in most areas of China.At the same time,it has the technical features of high measurement accuracy,wide application and complete experimental function.There are high temperature cabin and low temperature cabin constitute room-type calorimeter.The air temperature control range and precision in high temperature cabin are 0~40℃ and ±0.3℃,respectively.The air temperature control range and precision in low temperature cabin are-20~60℃and ±0.3℃,respectively.Two cabins’ air relative humidity control ranges and precisions are 20~80% and 10%,respectively.Any air condition point can be adjusted in the two cabins’ temperature and relative humidity ranges.The temperature and humidity control range of the room-type calorimeter is much higher than that of the traditional roomtype calorimeter.Consequently,this room-type calorimeter can simulate more outdoor air environment with extreme temperature and humidity.According to the design requirements,author compiles and debugs the automatic control program to ensure the control precision of air temperature and humidity.The control system adopts PLC(programmable logic controller)and PID control.The test platform was used to test the heat transfer coefficient of building doors,windows or building materials and the thermal performance of room air conditioner.With meeting the relevant national standard on calorimeter’s air temperature and environmental temperature conditions,the heat flow meter method is adopted for test and analysis heat transfer coefficient of high temperature cabin’s door and window.Based on the analysis of heat transfer principle,the thermal equilibrium principle and statistical theory,a new calibration method is adopted to demarcate wall heat transfer coefficients of high temperature cabin walls and two cabins’ partition.The test results show that the test platform can be used to test the heat transfer coefficient of building envelope,and the test results can also be used to the following test work with multifunctional room-type calorimeter method.In this paper,the multifunctional room-type calorimeter method and the refrigerant flow meter method were both used to test and analyze a room air conditioner’s refrigerating capacity.This room air conditioner’s refrigerating capacity less than 2kW.The test results show that the measurement accuracy of the multifunctional room-type calorimeter method is higher than the refrigerant flow meter method,and the test results are most affected by the measurement accuracy of input power.
