Study On Improving The Competitive Power Of Qingdao Port's Container Terminal

With the development of transport of foreign trade in China,the container terminals have played a significant position in the shipping line transportation.Nowadays,China has become the largest foreign trade country,and also makes huge distribution in the container transportation.Even though Qingdao port is the No.8 largest port by container volumes,but it still faces a severe developing saturation.On the one hand,Busan port as a foreign competitor competes with Qingdao Port to win the international hub of Northeast Asia.On the other hand,Qingdao Port needs to step up the pace dramatically to avoid the transcendence from Tianjin Port and Dalian Port which located in the north China.Therefore,continuously improving the competitive power might be the biggest bottleneck for Qingdao Port.For the research in the development of the competitive power of container terminal,the study has been carried out in home and abroad.However,most of researches have less connection with the practical situation of Qingdao Port's container terminal,and support limited guidance for the continuously increasing the competitive power of Qingdao Port's container terminal.According to the perennial 15 years management experience in container port,this paper has analyzed the current situation of Qingdao port's container terminal,and has explored the deep reason and the weak links of competitive power.According to the knowledge of supply chain,the trend of the development of container terminal and the current situation of Qingdao port,this paper has provided several suggestions to improve the competitive power of Qingdao ports.They are useful and helpful.
