As is known,cars have become an indispensable means of transportation in every country in the world.With the rapid development of cars,a series of problems such as traffic congestion,frequent traffic accidents,and deterioration of the transportation environment have arisen.The annual losses caused by traffic accidents are huge.Reducing the incidence of traffic accidents is a key issue that needs to be urgently addressed in the development of the automotive industry.In the future,the realization of intelligent driving of automobiles will greatly reduce the incidence of traffic accidents.However,intelligent driving of automobiles mainly relies on the core sensors of automotive millimeter-wave radar.Due to the complex application scenarios of automotive radar,it is difficult to increase the range of automotive radar.Distance is closely related to the beamforming design.Therefore,it is of great significance to carry out in-depth research on the beamforming technology of automotive radar antennas.The main achievement of this thesis is to combine the development level with practical application of automotive radar and analyze the antenna array mode of automotive radar.Based on the simulation data of radar digital beamforming technology,reasonable suggestions are given for different application functions of automotive radar to choose the corresponding antenna array mode.This thesis states the practical application of the automotive LFMCW radar.To summarize,the main work is as follows:1.Describe the basic theory related to the beam forming of the automotive LFMCW radar and sort out the three antenna layout methods involved in the automotive LFMCW radar: uniform array,non-uniform array,and MIMO array.2.Study the technical characteristics and applicable conditions of these antenna layouts and build a typical structural model of these antenna arrays.Based on the typical model,a computer simulation of digital beamforming technology is developed according to the beam direction application of the actual automotive radar.Make the comprehensive comparison and analysis of the simulation results and summarize the selection of automotive LFMCW radar antenna array for different functional applications.3.Use the digital beamforming technology to reasonably choose the designmethod of the automotive radar antenna array,which has been verified in an actual automotive radar project using the NXP radar chip as a design platform,which can offer some reference for the actual automotive LFMCW radar design.
