As a green refrigeration way,the absorption air-conditioning system is a good measure for overcoming energy shortage and environmental deterioration.With the themal method,its performance is not good enough because of much heat loss in the regeneration process.For optimal performance,a capacitive deionization?CDI?method based absorption air-conditioning system may be a good choice.Compared to the traditional system,its COP can increase by 50%.Energy storage and recovery characteristic is a key advantage of this system:some input energy can be stored and then reused for another working process,thus leading to the great improvement of energy utilization efficiency.Considering that there are few studies on this characteristic,both theoretic and experimental researches were made in this paper.In the theoretic research,a thermodynamic model of the CDI method based system was built.Based on this model,comparative analysis was done on the performance without and with energy recovery.To fully tap the potential of performance,further research was done on the energy storage and recovery characteristic.Based on a RC model of the CDI cell,a charge efficiency model was built and the influences of charge mode?capacity voltage?charge voltage on energy storage were also studied.Besides,a recovery scheme was designed and relatively discharge efficiency model was built.On this basis,the infuences of capacity voltage and discharging time were studied.With the results,the theoretic COP was analyzed.In the experimental research,two experiment devices were set up to test the effect of solution treatment?energy storage and recovery.The influences of solution type?concentration?charge voltage were also studied in the experiments.With the experimental results,the actual COP was analyzed.The reseach results show that the capacitive deionization method has a certain treatment effect on LiBr?LiCl?CaCl2 solution and it is feasible to apply this method to the absorption air-conditioning system.The effect of energy storage and recovery is also great with appropriate charge mode and recovery scheme and therefore,COP can increase by 50%.To further improve its performance,more effective electrode materials should be used in later reseach.
