With the development and progr ess of the national economy,automobiles have become a necessity for people.For a complex structure such as a car,its design is more difficult.With the help of finite element analysis,it has become an essential tool for automobile design.For the analysis of automobile chassis parts,its dynamic analysis requires a lot of computational resources.Therefore,choosing a calculation method with high calculation efficienc y and high accurac y is one of the key technologies to solve the problem of automobile c hassis parts anal ysis.The mode s ynthesis method is a method for the large complex structures,with characteristics of its components,dividing it into individual substructures,and obtaining the d ynamic characteristics of the entire complex structure based on the mode data of the substructures.Choose the appropriate mode synthesis method is an effective way to solve the problem of vehicle chassis design.In this paper,the design and calculation of chassis parts are studied.The advantages and disadvantag es of the typical modal synthesis method are studied.The General Component Mode Synthesis(GCMS)is proposed,and the numerical and finite element calculations are carried out to study the validity of the mode synthesis method.This article research as follows:Firstly,this paper systematically anal yzes the relevant theories of substructure methods,and summarizes the mode set of structures in mode synthesis methods.Based on that,the typical fixed interface mode synthesis method,free interface mode synthesis,mixed boundary mode synthesis method and its typical improved algorithm are researched,and interested on their advantages and disadvantages and application limitations.Secondly,the GCMS mode synthesis method is derived in this paper,and the theoretical method of GCMS modal synthesis method based on inertial force.And through regression derivation,the GCMS mode s ynthesis method is applicable to all mode synthesis methods and their improved algorithms.Secondly,this paper study on the GCMS m ode synthesis method.The MATLAB program was developed,and the numerical examples and finite element methods were used to study the GCMS mode synthesis method of single-substructure and multi-substructure.The validity and accurac y of the method were prov ed.Finally,for the typical problem of the analysis of chassis components,the GCMS mode synthesis algorithm is used for simulation research.Using the commercial software Msc.Adams,the general flow of multi-body dynamics analysis of the GCMS mode synthe sis method is established,and multi-body d ynamics analysis based on GCMS mode synthesis method is carried out for typical torsion beam suspension to guide engineering design.The research in this paper proves that the GCMS mode s ynthesis method can solve the design and calculation problems of chassis parts efficiently and accurately,and has great future on the engineering application.
