With the development of technology,distributed power sources such as small wind turbines and rooftop photovoltaic power stations are getting more popular.At the same time,users take more active part in energy management by using distributed photovoltaic power stations and adjusting load operation according to TOU electricity price.Therefore,how to take full advantage of the distributed power generation and save the electricity cost while ensuring the comfort of electricity consumption has become the focus of people's attention.In order to improve the economy of household electricity consumption,this paper constructs a model of home energy management system,proposes an optimal capacity allocation strategy for photovoltaic energy storage system and an optimal operation of HEMS considering user comfort preference,develops a remote monitoring platform of HEMS which applies the optimal control strategy to the demonstration system.The details are as follows.(1)A home energy management system with distributed photovoltaic generation and energy storage device is designed.It comprises two subsystems: photovoltaic energy storage system and smart home system.The former is based on the principle of "Use the electricity generated by oneself,send surplus electricity to the grid ",while the latter is used to realize the functions of household appliances remote control,power information viewing and intelligent load dispatching.(2)An optimal capacity allocation strategy for PV-energy storage system is proposed.The life cycle investment income model of the system is established.Taking the highest annual average return and the lowest investment recovery period as the optimization objectives,the effects of capacity change of photovoltaic and energy storage device on the efficiency of the system are discussed.And the optimal configuration scheme of PV-storage system capacity is given.(3)An optimal operation of home energy management system considering user comfort preference is proposed.Taking into account of the time-of-use electricity price,distributed photovoltaic power supply,and energy storage devices,evaluation indexes for different home loads are set,and a multi-objective optimization model based on economy and comfort is established using efficiency coefficient method.The multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is adopted to solve the proposed model and the optimal dispatch is achieved by scheduling the start time and the number of working hours of controllable appliances.Simulation results of Matlab show that the proposed method can adapt to different scenes and reduce the electricity costs while taking into account the user comfort preference.(4)The remote monitoring platform of HEMS is developed to realize the functions of household appliances remote control,power data viewing and user management.The optimal operation method is applied to a demonstration system of smart home with distributed photovoltaic power and energy storage,and reasonableness of the method is verified with case study results.
