Research On The Appropriate Methods For The Protection And Inheritance Of Chen Lao Xiang Historic And Cultural Block In Xiangyang

Historical and cultural blocks are the fresh carrier of the urban historical culture,and are also the key supporting contents for famous historic and cultural cities.The protection and inheritance of historical and cultural blocks are the important means to extend urban context,show urban characteristics and carry forward the spirit of local culture.For a long time,the protection practice of Chinese historic and cultural blocks had valued the protection on the historic remains inside the blocks and actual carriers of historical information,but ignored to dig out and inherit the historical environment factors and potential historical cultural resources in the blocks,and meanwhile,it also ignored the research and overall protection on the relationship between blocks and environment historical cultural patters.Thereby,it caused that under the shocking of modern urban construction,the historical and cultural blocks inevitably shrined and even melted away,the “surviving” blocks have been submerged in the vast ocean of modern city construction,and the famous historical and cultural cities generally present the tendency of “fragmentation”.Up to this day,the planning and practice are still carried based on protecting the existing historical and cultural blocks and their heritage ontologies,and it is really hard to play the effective cultural inheritance roles.Combining with the current age development requirements and the realistic conditions of famous historical and cultural cities,it becomes very urgent to explore the innovative suitability protection method of historical and cultural blocks.On this basis,Xiangyang,the second batch of historical and cultural cities in China,is selected as the city case,taking the only existing historical and cultural block of Chenlaoxiang in Xiangyang historic district as an object to conduct the research.First,based on the summarizing of domestic and overseas relevant theories and practice and combining with the realistic characteristics of Chenlaoxiang,the thinking framework of cognition,analysis and research of “protection of neighborhood connection environmental pattern – overall protection of block-protection of heritage and cultural resources” is initially established in this paper.Second,based on the methods such as literature review,field investigation,as well as investigation of oral statement on city history,and from three levels of surrounding environment of historical and cultural block of Chenlaoxiang,historical and cultural block of Chenlaoxiang,as well as block building,the historical and cultural resource element information and its pattern accumulated by time are systematically sorted out,and moreover,they are analyzed as the historical value,cultural value,as well as social value.Third,the historical and cultural environment resources gained after sorting out the three spatial levels are taken for the current status habitat analysis,identifying its existing and potential status.In the end,based on the key problems of different spatial levels,the protection and inheritance methods are formulated as a whole in this paper,proposing to protect and highlight historical and cultural block of Chenlaoxiang and the overall cultural pattern of its surrounding environment at macro level,protect block pattern,activate industrial space and optimize human settlement at medium level,and categorize,protect and renovate the architectural heritages in blocks at micro level,promoting the specific strategies of its public spatialization.It strived to take the limited historical and cultural block of Chenlaoxiang as a “generator” to be able to drive the overall cultural revitalization of surrounding environment from internal to external at a certain degree,providing supports for reshaping the spatial cultural pattern and characteristic order of Xiangyang,a famous historical and cultural city.
