In recent years,villa building groups have developed rapidly in our country,which meets some people's need for living quality.However,due to the short development time of the industry,most villas have departed from the meaning of original villas,and they are more similar to garden villas.What's more,the designers professional skills and self-accomplishments are different.Interior style is copied,and not experience but aesthetic is paid attention to.Designers just copy or pursue space visual effect,thus ignoring the real feelings of the owners.Regional culture has a great impact on the development of villas.There are different culture,geographical location,and climate characteristics in different regions.In addition,people have different preferences and aesthetics,which determines the style differences of villa space design.Most of the people in Yancheng are descendants of immigrants from the south of the Yangtze River in successive dynasties,so the folk culture belongs to the traditional culture of the south of the Yangtze River.Architectural features in the north and south of China are sharp on the South side and flat on the North side.The houses in Yancheng have different shapes,but most of them have spires.Because the climate is hot and humid,the bedroom is big,and the front and rear doors are perforated and ventilate.Based on the above considerations,the main research contents of this paper are as follows: 1)Through on-the-spot investigation of the villa projects in Yancheng,and comparative analysis of its representative villa buildings,it sums up the characteristics of villa design elements.2)Taking the influence of regional culture on villas as a breakthrough point,this paper makes a concrete analysis from the aspects of space utilization,plane layout,interface treatment,lighting,and materials etc,and puts forward the concept and method of villa design.3)From the aspects of the designers' accomplishment,effective communication with the owners and the designers' subjective initiative,the problems in the implementation process are analyzed.4)Construct the design scheme of villa living space.
