The main function of the seawall is to protect the port from wind and waves.In a broad sense,it is used to protect the waters from the sea side waves,steams,silt and flow ice,all of the hydro-structures can be called seawall.Now the seawalls can be divided into two types,vertical seawall and the sloping seawall.One kind of seawall is the traditional type,formed by rip-rap.With the increasing at a depth of more than 20 m.In the design and construction code for Seawall(JTS154-1-2011),it is clear that the seawall with deep water depth over 20 m is a Deep-water Seawall,and the type,scale and structure of the seawall are different from that of shallow water seawall.Especially when the seawall is damaged,it often causes significant economic losses and has a great impact.In this paper,10 cases of seawall destruction at home and abroad are collected and analyzed in the background of the breakage of a coastal shipyard.This paper focuses on the engineering example of the breakage of the Deep-water Seawall in a coastal shipyard,analyses the cause of the breakage of the seawall,puts forward the repair scheme of the seawall,and combines the physical model test of the repair project.The scheme is optimized.Through this study,we can find out the reasons for the breakage of the seawall similar to this article,and find the way to repair the broken seawall,and provide reference for the similar projects in the future.
