Using computer program to simulate the operation states of nuclear power plant accurately can not only avoid the operation risks effectively,but also ensure the safety of the system.It also provide a test platform for the implementation of advanced control strategies.As a specially made simulation software for nuclear power plant,RELAP5 can simulate various typical nuclear power plant operations with high precision.As a result,it is widely used in nuclear power engineering design.Since the software was developed in the 1980 s,and mainly it was aimed at studying the thermal and hydraulic characteristics the nuclear power plant,its support for the design and debugging of the controller is rather limited,which cannot meet the needs of the simulation and testing of the more complex advanced control systems.To solve this problem,a nuclear power plant joint simulation system based on the platform of RELAP5 and MATLAB has been developed by using the standard data interface technology and expanding the input and output functions of RELAP5.The system supports the construction of complex control system with the graphical interface constructed by MATLAB at the front end,and simulates the controlled process with RELAP5 in the back end.By combining the advantages of the two software,the simulation and test requirements of the advanced controller for nuclear power plants are met.Firstly,the structural characteristics of nuclear power reactor,natural circulation steam generator and pressurizer are studied and the corresponding mathematical model is established.Referring to the model parameters of Qinshan Phase I project,the reactor core,steam generator,pressurizer and other models are built respectively in RELAP5 simulation software,and then they are combined to form a primary circuit simulation system.The simulation system is tested and verified.Then by analyzing the technical documents of RELAP5,on the basis of mastering the framework and design features of RELAP5 software,a new function of RELAP5 is designed,and the data interaction between RELAP5 and MATLAB/SIMULINK is realized by using the interface function in Simulink.In order to realize the real-time storage of simulation data,the data storage function of RELAP5 in MySQL database is realized by using the mixed programming technology of C++.The GUI function of MATLAB is used to set up the front-end interface of the joint simulation system,to realize the control functions of input file reading,simulation program running,data display and simulation curve generation,and to complete the construction of the joint simulation system.The simulation results show that the simulation speed and accuracy of the joint simulation system match that of RELAP5,and it has obvious advantages over RELAP5 in terms of ease of use and expandability.
