The new round of technological revolutions represented by mobile internet,big data and cloud computing,artificial intelligence,etc.driving the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing.Under this background,the Chinese government proposed the "Made in China 2025" and "Internet +" development strategies to vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry and structural optimization and adjustment.The development of China's auto industry combined with artificial intelligence will inevitably bring significant changes and development to the entire auto industry.Under the new environment,Delphi has keenly captured the historical opportunities for industry transformation.In 2015,it proposed the three strategic directions of "Safe,Green,and Interconnected",and focused on the layout of autonomous driving.In 2017,it carried out a strategic transformation to focus its business on autonomous driving and mobile travel,and is committed to providing customers with intelligent mobile travel solutions.This new strategic transformation direction and a series of reforms have not only improved Delphi's industry position,but in 2019,Delphi ranked fourth in the latest version of the autonomous driving competitiveness ranking released by Navigant Research.However,Delphi also faces problems such as a slowdown in main business growth and a decline in product sales prices and profit.Therefore,Delphi urgently needs to formulate a development strategy that is consistent with the development of the automotive market and combines its own advantages and disadvantages to solid its leading position and ensure the company sustainable development.This paper mainly includes four parts.The first part mainly introduced the research background and significance of this article.In the context of the transformation and upgrading of the automobile industry,Delphi rapidly formulated new development strategies,transformed and upgraded the enterprise,and achieved success quickly,quickly established a new core competitiveness of the enterprise and occupied a leading position in the industry.The study of its successful development strategy is of great significance for the further development of the company itself,and also provides a good reference for other enterprises in the industry.The success of more enterprises in the industrial transformation and upgrading means to better promote the success of the entire industry transformation and upgrading,so it has certain research significance.The second part analyzes the development status quo and main problems faced by Delphi and their causes.Analyzes the main problems existing in the operation including main business growth is slowing,the sales prices of products,product profitability decline as well as the main business problem such as cost pressures increase,the reason is the main products into the late mature,the product competition ability weakened,and automatic driving business in development,need a lot of input,has yet to gain business rewards,etc.The third part USES PEST analysis tool to analyze the macro environment of politics,economy,society and technology,and porter's Five Forces model analysis tool to analyze the industrial environment of Delphi.In addition,it analyzes the organization,human resources,technology,capital and other resources of the company as well as the competitiveness of the company.By using SWOT analysis tool to analyze its own advantages and disadvantages,it is proposed that Delphi should take advantage of its own advantages,seize opportunities for development,and choose SO growth strategy.The fourth part mainly introduces the objective,choice,implementation and safeguard measures of the company's development strategic planning.Delphi's short-term goals are to achieve and rapidly expand the autonomous driving business at levels L1 to L3 from 2020 to 2022,to start the commercialization of autonomous driving at levels L4 and above in 2022,and to achieve autonomous driving at level L5 in 2025.The long-term goal is to occupy the market of high value-added products such as ADAS and autonomous driving solutions,and realize the transformation to a mobile travel high-tech company.In terms of strategic selection,SO growth strategy is selected according to SWOT analysis results.In the short-term development,Delphi chooses the growth strategy of horizontal correlation strategy,and in the long-term development,it chooses the integration strategy.A series of strategy implementation schemes based on growth development strategy include: adjusting business portfolio and focusing on core business;Strengthen localization development,focus on The Chinese market;Strengthen the ability of product development and upgrade the level of technological innovation;Carry out diversified cooperation and actively explore business models.At the same time from the capital,human,three aspects of organization implement the strategy of the above guarantee measures are put forward.This article incorporates the theory of strategic management into Delphi 's development strategy choices,provides Delphi 's effective development strategy to take advantage from internal and external conditions and exerting its core competitiveness.Thus,to promoting the company's sustainable and healthy development.In addition,it also provides a reference,which has certain reference value for the formulation and development of corporate strategies in the automotive industry.Therefore,the study of Delphi's development strategy has certain theoretical and practical significance.
