The Application Of Yurt Element In Cultural And Creative Product Design

Through one thousand year historical evolution,the Mongolian yurt has b ecome an important carrier of the material and spiritual culture of the nort hern nomadic people.It has its distinctive cultural characteristics with its unique architectural form,structured style,material technology,utensils,c olors,and patterns,etc.It is also an essential cultural element that epitomi zes and manifests the Mongolian people's ideal of material life and their pursuit of spiritual aesthetics.The cultural and creative products with Mongolian yurt culture take Mon golian yurts as their design elements and study objects and employ variou s ways in design and integration.They can not only endow the products with utilities but also convey cultural messages.Hence they have become the innovative products able to boom social economy and cultural develo pment.Through an analysis of the typical cultural elements and aesthetic features of the Mongolian yurt,the paper emphasizes on the analysis and synthesi s of the cultural elements from the Mongolian yurt's structures,design pa tterns,and colors.Based on the principles of the design and the applicatio n of the products,the design of the cultural and creative products is put in to practice in order to clarify design theories and to learn from experience.
