In order to study the relationship between the driver's visual characteristics during the autonomous driving process and the performance of the driver taking over the control of the autonomous vehicle, the researchers investigated the visual abilities of different groups of people and the effects of visual abilities on driving.Based on this, the two parts of the research content of this article are established: respectively based on the visual field research and the impact of the visual field on driving performance in the driving environment. This confirmed the purpose of this study: 1)To determine the basic visual field ability of people with different characteristics.2)Verify the influence of different fields of vision on driving performance. In this paper, three experiments were carried out to conduct research.First, the measurement of the basic visual field ability of the adult group, and then on this basis, the performance of the autonomous driving under the task condition and the visual takeover performance of the driver at each visual position research. The basic visual field measurement is the premise of the next two experiments, and the two subsequent experiments are studied from the two perspectives of the secondary task takeover and the visual field position where the dangerous substance appears. In the measurement of the basic visual field ability of the adult population, the test population is divided into a youth group,a middle-aged group, and an elderly group according to age, with a total of 138 test samples. In addition,in order to explore the dynamic visual field capabilities of the participants when they gaze at moving objects, the gaze point velocities of four kinds of angular velocities are simulated, which are divided into 0 ° / s(static field),2 ° / s,8 ° / s and 16 ° / s.The research results show that age has a significant effect on the dynamic effective visual field characteristics. As the age increases, the effective visual field area and effective visual field circumference decrease;the visual field characteristics are affected by the movement speed of the gaze point. As the speed increases, the visual field range shrinks and the visual field shape deviates from a circle. Each visual field evaluation index shows A trend that decreases with age and the rate of gaze increase.Secondly, the influence of sub-tasks with different degrees of immersion on the driving performance in the process of autonomous driving was studied. The type of immersion and the length of immersion were used as influencing factors to study the visual search ability of the driver under these influencing factors. The visual search speed of autonomous vehicle drivers under two secondary tasks(listening crosstalk and playing mobile games)and two levels of immersion duration(5 minutes,10 minutes)was investigated. Finally,in order to study the impact of the field of vision on driving performance in the driving environment,an experiment was conducted on 12 test participants by simulating the accident scenes appearing at different speeds and positions of the field of vision. The experimental results show that: under the simulated driving scenarios,The driving performance exhibited by the test participants is consistent with the changing law of visualfield characteristics, that is,the reaction time in the face of an accident decreases with the increase in the age and driving speed of the test participants, and the visual search ability and response of the test participants The duration was significantly negatively correlated, which was affected by the relative angle between the accident location and the eyes of the participant, that is,the more the location of the accident was,the slower the response of the participant.
