Mergers and acquisitions have been developing for a long time.In recent years, many excellent enterprises in China have implemented M&A and investment to enhance their overall strength.Household appliances industry has always been an important industry in China's economic development, but globally, there are some problems in China's household appliances industry, such as weak R&D level, prominent product homogeneity and so on.In order to seek the development of enterprises, many household appliances enterprises in China have taken the road of overseas M&A.Taking the successful acquisition of general household appliances by Qingdao Haier as an example, through consulting a large number of relevant literature on the evaluation of the performance of M&A,this paper combs out the construction of performance evaluation method combining financial and non-financial indicators, and evaluates the performance changes of the event from many aspects. From the analysis point of view, after the acquisition of general appliances by Qingdao Haier, the income of enterprises has increased, the market share has increased, especially the overseas market share has increased substantially, and the research and development ability has been enhanced. All these indicate that this acquisition can achieve the goal of Qingdao Haier's acquisition of general appliances. But on the contrary, because of the merger and acquisition,Haier's operation ability has problems.Haier should pay attention to the integration of all aspects of resources after the merger and acquisition,so as to enhance its profitability and promote its business to continue to improve. This paper chooses a combination of financial indicators and non-financial indicators to analyze the performance of M&A.However, due to the insufficient selection of indicators, the conclusions may not be objective and comprehensive enough, and the future research needs to be further improved.
