In recent years,with the increase of recognition and popularity of electric vehicles,the requirements of electric vehicle charging(EV)equipments are no longer limited to the realization of functions.People are looking forward to new demands on the efficiency,power density,stability and other indicators of EV charger.To solve the problems of low efficiency of three-phase full-control PWM rectifier which widely used in traditional off-board DC charger,a high-efficiency AC/DC rectifier topology based on two-way continuous current and its control method are proposed in this paper.The feasibility of this novel PWM rectifier is verified by software simulation and experimentof 60 kW off-board DC charger prototype.The main research content of this paper is as follows :Based on the design index of high efficiency PWM rectifier,the working principle of the novel PWM rectifier topology is deduced in detail;The idea and method of key component parameters in the novel PWM rectifier topology are discussed;The hardware circuit of control system including main control circuits,voltage current acquisition circuit and drive circuit are designed.A double closed loop control system based on this novel PWM rectifier is proposed.The compensation control of zero-crossing current inner loop and voltage stabilization control are designed;The software control system based on dsp28335 is designed,including main program,interrupt processing program and control algorithm program.Based on Matlab/Simulink simulation software,the system performance of this novel PWM rectifier is analyzed and the feasibility is verified;The system effect of capacitance parameters,inductance parameters and voltage distortion is studied;The loss of this novel PWM rectifier is discussed in detail,and the efficiency of this novel PWM rectifier is estimated.A 60 kW high-efficiency AC/DC rectifier prototype is designed.The grid-side total harmonic distortion(THD),efficiency,temperature and other performance of the prototype are tested.The results show that this novel PWM rectifier satisfy the performance indexes of the off-board dc charger,and has the advantages of less THD and high power factor;The comparative analysis between the traditional three-phase full-control PWM rectifier and this novel PWM rectifier shows that this novel PWM rectifier has a high efficiency which up to 99%.The influence of frequency on system performance and efficiency is analyzed.Under the condition of high frequency,not only the THD and power factor indexes are better,but also the loss is not significantly increased.
