Since the early 19th century,steel has been used in the architecture.such materials,such materials have become one of most important building materials in just over 200 years,relying on its superior material properties.Up to now,Today,steel can be found in almost any contemporary building,Many architects have explored a large number of applications and details about steel through continuous engineering practice.No matter in domestic or foreign,the theoretical exploration and design practice of steel materials applications are quite rich.These theories and practices provide a various of research materials and experience reference for the development of this thesis.However,from the current situation of domestic steel material construction,a large number of architects are under confusion in the application of steel in construction.The reason of causing this situation is that more and more construction-related project persons have been pursuing the design speed and output value as the ultimate goal and neglected the basic problem of materials.The author's proposition to restart steel materials here is to hope to explore the use of steel for architectural design through the study of this article from the perspective of architecture.This paper firstly carried out sciential combs for the material properties of steel materials,historical evolution of structural steels,the application status of steel structure and its construction modes.Subsequently,a large number of well-known construction examples of steel materials were collected on a global scale,the scientific and objective analysis and evaluation were carried out aiming at the rationality of the structure and tectonic logic of the steel material in the case by taking Theoretical Mechanics,Structural Mechanics,Material Mechanics and architectural construction principles as the theoretical basis of research and taking the clarity of materials and structure as the standard of case screening,its characteristics and laws were explained and generalized by applying the methods of drawing drawings,text descriptions and summarizing.Finally,the characteristic performance of "good" steel material buildings was explored in this paper,and the structural logic and tectonic logic of steel materials in architectural design were tried to be generalized and summarized,on which basis,the scientific and reasonable steel joint construction methods were summarized and organized through the analysis and research on the characteristics of steel and other building materials.The research significance of this paper is mainly embodied in two aspects: Firstly,the three major mechanics theories are combined with engineering practice,rationality and scientific nature of steel structure and tectonic logic in the architectural design are discussed,thus providing new perspectives and ideas for the research of steel materials in the future.Secondly,through the analysis and research on the characteristics of steel and other building materials,reasonable construction methods of steel nods are summarized and sorted through the analysis and research of the characteristics of steel and other building materials,thus providing a certain guiding role for the architectural design of steel materials in the future.
