In recent years, with the rapid development of space industry, the complexity of space mission and the high quality demand put forward higher requirements for spacecraft.Very large space structures, ranging in size from 100 meters to 1000 meters, are increasingly used in high-precision remote sensing, communications and observation, space solar collection, and low-cost navigation.Due to their large size, these spacecraft exhibits more complex dynamic characteristics, and the flexibility is more prominent. The traditional control methods are no longer applicable. In this paper,a large space structure-space solar power station,is taken as the study object. The dynamics, model reduction and decentralized control problems of the space solar power station are studied.Firstly, the dynamic model of space solar power station is established by dynamic substructure modeling method, and compared with the traditional modeling method to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. At the sime time, the method of single body modeling for large space structures is given, which provides the model foundation for the work of model reduction.Secondly, the order of established dynamic model is reduced.Large space structures have the characteristics of low frequency and dense modes, therefore, the balanced reduction method is adopted. Finally, the decentralized control of large space structure bodies is studied. The actuators and sensors are assumed to be distributed on the substructure and center of the large space structure.A decentralized simple adaptive control is developed to achieve the vibration suppression and attitude stabilization. And the numerical simulations verify the effectiveness of the control law.
