The distribution and grouping of discrete points sets in two-dimensional areas and the generation of the texture tiling are the key problems in the field of plane layout and computer graphics.In this thesis,two specific applications are solved by power diagram because of its excellent characteristics in layout splitting.One is the optimization of the layout of LED and the connection between the LED,and the second is the generation of the texture tiling with the color features of the sample image,which are aimed at helping designers improving design efficiency.The main work of this thesis are as follows:1)The research progress of the generation algorithm of the power diagram and the specific application in the plane layout and design are overviewed.2)An optimization algorithm for distribution and combination connection of planar LED based on power diagram is proposed.Modeling the distribution and grouping problem of planar LED as a multi-constrained optimization problem,for the problem of uniform illuminance of LED,a method based on centroid capacity power diagram is proposed.For LED engineering constraints and economic optimization,an LED combination and connection optimization algorithm based on greedy strategy is proposed.The experimental results prove the effectiveness of the proposed methods.3)A power diagram texture tiling generation algorithm based on the color features of the sample image is proposed.In the cases of specifying a sample image,based on the diversity and locality characteristics of the power diagram,the color characteristics of the sample image is combined to generate the texture tiling.Thus a large area power diagram texture with the given sample image's color feature is obtained.
