Research On Landscape Preference Of Public Space In Traditional Villages

As a rare cultural heritage in a region,traditional villages are rich in natural ecological landscape resources and historical and cultural resources,which have diversified values and are the precious heritage of China and the whole mankind.The Min'an village,as the first group of villages to be included in the protection list of Chinese traditional villages,it has a strong Mintai culture,military culture and overseas Chinese culture and it is an important part of Fuzhou historical and cultural village.With the development of rural tourism and the influx of foreign tourists,the demand for the original public space in traditional villages has changed.Meanwhile,there some changes in the landscape style and characteristics of public space.Based on this situation,it is of great significance to research the optimization of traditional village public space landscape.Based on the previous research results and theories,this paper takes the public space of Min'an village as the research object and introduces the eye tracker as a landscape research tool into the research of the public space landscape of the village,trying to apply the new landscape research tool to the practice of modern landscape architecture.Through the methods of field research,data collection,literature analysis,summary and other methods,the landscape of the public space of Min'an village,a traditional village,is studied.The main research results are as follows:(1)Based on domestic and foreign literature and materials,this paper summarizes the research progress of village public space,rural tourism,eye tracker,and so on,obtaining the concept definition and research status of public space,traditional village,rural tourism,and eye tracker.(2)Based on the field investigation and analysis of Min'an village,this paper firstly summarizes the general situation of the natural geography of Min'an village;secondly,it discusses the formation factors of the public space landscape,the types and characteristics of the public space and the common problems existing in the current situation;it summarizes the main types of the public space of Min'an Village: square space,building space,street space,entrance space and water space,and then analyzes these five aspects respectively,which lays a foundation for the further development of eye movement experiments.(3)The eye tracker is used as a landscape research tool.Combined with the landscape pictures of five different types of public Spaces summarized before,the eye movement experiment is carried out and the eye movement data is collected and analyzed based on those five types of public spaces.According to the needs of this experiment and research,the average saccade amplitude,saccade count,average fixation duration and fixation count are proposed.From different types of public space and the eye movement indices of different gender,the difference of eye movement indices of different types of public space,the difference of eye movement indices of different gender,hot spot map of eye movement and person's subjective satisfaction,this paper makes a detailed interpretation and analysis,and then drawing the conclusion: The subjects' visual attention to different types of public space was ranked from high to low: architectural space,street space,entrance space,water system space,and square space.The attraction elements of different types of public space landscape are different: the architectural space is mostly the door and window,stone carving and other detailed elements;The main attraction elements of street space are concentrated in the vanishing point of space.The attraction element of the entrance space is at the exit point or turning point of the road;The attraction elements of water system space tend to the mountains and green landscape in the distance.The architecture of the square space and the landscape that produces the line of sight are the main elements that attract people's vision.Men are more interested in the architectural space than women,while women are more interested in the entrance space.The subjects pay less attention to the water system space,and their satisfaction with the water system space is also lower in the subjective evaluation,indicating that the results of eye movement analysis are consistent with the results of the subjective evaluation(4)Through the analysis and summary of the experimental data in public space and eye movement in Min'an village,three strategies for landscape optimization of public space in Min'an village are concluded: the optimization strategies for different types of public space landscape,the optimization strategies for different genders of public space landscape and the overall strategies for the optimization of public space landscape.Public space landscape is a unique cultural product and landscape resource of traditional villages.As an emerging tool,eye tracker can provide guidance and reference for the optimization of traditional village public space landscape.With the development of technology,eye tracker still has a lot of room to explore in the future.Based on the current rural tourism background,we hope to maintain the visual advantages of the original public space landscape,while providing new ideas for the research of the village public space landscape,as well as offering strong guidance and suggestions to the optimization of the traditional village public space landscape to the largest extent.
