| Asphalt pavement is widely used in urban roads and highways with its advantages such as fast construction speed and good driving comfort.With the increase of traffic volume and vehicle load,the early damage of asphalt pavement becomes more and more serious,especially in heavy-load traffic sections such as long and longitudinal slope sections,road intersections,and bus stops.In order to improve the flexural tensile strength and rut resistance of these special pavements,a steel grid asphalt concrete pavement structure is proposed in this paper.This pavement structure embeds the steel grid into the asphalt concrete surface layer,so that the steel grid bears the vertical load and restrains the lateral deformation of the asphalt concrete.For steel grid asphalt concrete pavement,the main research contents of this article are as follows:First,physical performance tests are performed on coarse aggregates,fine aggregates,slag powder,asphalt and steel grids to ensure that the raw materials of steel grid asphalt concrete pavements meet quality requirements.Secondly,based on the design theory of progressive filling theory and particle interference theory,the mineral aggregate filling test and synthesis calculation were carried out to complete the design of the multistage embedded compacted structure(MDBG)of mineral aggregate.Third,the basic performance tests were performed on the three bonding materials,and the epoxy asphalt bonding material was subjected to a pull test and a shear test to ensure the bond strength between the grid and the asphalt concrete.Fourth,the rutting test,the trabecular bending test,and the immersed Marshall test were used to evaluate the road performance of the multi-stage embedded compacted steel grid asphalt concrete.The results of the study are as follows: The multi-stage embedded compacted steel grid asphalt concrete has good rut resistance.The steel grid can restrain the lateral deformation of the asphalt concrete and increase the dynamic stability of the asphalt concrete by 55%.Embedded compacted asphalt mixture has better low temperature performance and water stability.Compared with AC and SMA asphalt mixture,MDBG has improved bending stiffness modulus by 5.05% and 0.68%,and residual stability increased by 2.36% and 4.08 %.Epoxy asphalt,as a bonding material between steel grid and asphalt concrete,has good high temperature stability and low temperature crack resistance.As the application amount increases,the shear strength increases first and then decreases,and the optimal application amount is 1.0.kg / m~2. |
