With the continuous expansion of application scenarios and the continuous innovation of key technologies,the requirements of channel emulator are higher and higher in the performance evaluation of wireless communication network,such as dynamic high-performance calculation in the channel emulation of the Internet of vehicles and large capacity storage in 5G channel emulation.However,the existing channel emulators show many deficiencies in the emulation speed and resource occupation,which are difficult to meet the needs of real-time generation and large-scale storage of channel coefficients in future dynamic channel emulation.Cloud computing has the ability of high-performance parallel computing and massive data storage,and can provide efficient sharing services.Applying it to channel emulation can provide new ideas and directions to solve the existing shortcomings of current channel emulation.Therefore,this paper proposes a channel emulation system design scheme based on cloud architecture,designs the architectures of the user control platform,cloud platform and software defined radio platform respectively,realizes the software and hardware development,completes the development of channel emulator based on cloud architecture,and carries out the system level function and performance tests.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:(1)A design scheme of channel emulator based on cloud architecture is proposed.According to the characteristics of wireless channel and the theory of channel emulation method,the system structure and platform composition are designed;the hardware environment of each platform is analyzed;the tasks of software units in each platform are assigned,and the processing methods and processes are designed;finally,the data transmission content,data processing flow and physical connection type between platforms are designed to support dynamic emulation.(2)A channel emulator based on cloud architecture is developed.The hardware selection of the system is selected,the software development environment is determined,the system function development and realization are completed,and the simulation analysis and verification of each unit and its key modules are carried out,the results show that the function realization is correct.(3)The channel emulator based on cloud architecture is tested and verified.A test system is built for the emulator,the performance test is carried out,and the statistical characteristics of the fading output are analyzed;the dynamic emulation function of the emulator in the scene of the Internet of vehicles is verified by combining the ray tracing modeling.The test results show that the emulator achieves the expected performance,which verifies the feasibility of the channel emulation system based on cloud architecture to support dynamic emulation.
