Jet fuel recovery tank, also known as jet fuel storage tank,it is mainly used to recover, purify jet fuel, and provide fuel supply for aviation operations. The jet fuel containing impurities is recycled into the recovery tank and discharged after gravity settling completely. In order to improve the collecting and settling rate of sedimentation collection groove in the recovery tank and improve the discharging and settling effect of the impurity particles,it is necessary to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis and research on the movement rule, settlement distribution and discharging and settling rule of the particles in the jet fuel recovery tank.Firstly,Solid Works simulation software was used to establish the physical model in a 1:2 ratio according to the structure of the actual jet fuel recovery tank,Fluent software and euler numerical model were used to solve the problem.According to the simulation results, the effects of oil inlet velocity, particle diameter and inlet pipe location on the particle settling velocity and concentration distribution were analyzed. It is obtained that when the oil inlet velocity is v=0.5m/s and the oil inlet position locates 181 mm from the left side of the sedimentation collection groove, the collecting effcet is the best one.Secondly, combined with fluent-edem coupling simulation, the motion law of particles in jet fuel fluid was studied.Through the simulation results, the relationship between the particle distribution area and particle size and the rule of the collecting rate of sedimentation collection groove were obtained. The conclusions were as follows: the particle size would be increased by 50 m successively, and the particle settlement area was successively close to the center of the inlet pipe about 50 mm after the complete settlement. The collecting and settling rate is mainly influenced by the particle size and the position of oil inlet. Then,on the basis of settlement simulation, the influence of discharge velocity and particle size on discharge results is studied, and the distribution law of particles in the recovery tank and the movement law of jet coal fluid under different discharge conditions are obtained.Particles with diameters ranging from 0 to 150 μm are easily removed when the discharge velocity is greater than 1m/s.When the discharge velocity is 3m/s,the overall discharge rate of all particle sizes is the highest and the discharge effect is the best. Finally,in order to verify the correctness of the numerical simulation,a verification test scheme was developed to verify the correctness of the simulation by comparing the particle distribution diagram after complete settlement and discharging sedimentation.
