With the rapid growth of car ownership in China,the traffic flow in signalized intersections has become more and more complex,and the detection demand of traffic information at intersections has become more and more diversified.Therefore,the current traffic information detection method is difficult to meet the above application environment and demand.Therefore,this article in view of the application environment and detection requirements at intersections,proposed wireless vehicleaware local area network which is formed of the distributed smart road stud node and relay node,with a large-scale deployment of vehicle-aware local area networks in signalized intersections a traffic information detection system is built to accurately collect a variety of traffic information.The traffic information detection system based on the wireless vehicle-aware network built in this article is deployed in the signal intersections,but it is also applicable to linear roads such as highways and mountain roads.Various traffic information parameters collected by the traffic information detection system can provide accurate and reliable data support for the management and control of signalized intersections,and can achieve intelligent upgrades at intersections.This paper comprehensively studies the working principle of the intelligent signal control systems of urban road intersections at home and abroad and the traffic information collection methods adopted by these systems,and analyzes the current domestic and foreign traffic information(queuing length,traffic flow)detection methods.The traffic information detection system takes the road wireless vehicle-aware network as the structural framework,the smart road stud node is the bottom vehicleaware node,the relay node is located in the middle layer,and is the central node of network communication and data processing.The remote platform is the top-level application platform that can interact with the detection system for remote data to obtain traffic information at intersections.The main research work of the traffic information detection system is divided into four parts,which are the overall system design,system implementation,sensor node layout optimization and example verification,algorithm simulation and error analysis.This paper builds a system wireless sensor network topology based on the wireless mesh network,Bluetooth piconet and other wireless networks under the overall system design framework,and formulates network communication protocols,builds network data communication links,and successfully implements fast stable communication in the network.Based on NBIOT technology,this article builds a remote uplink and downlink data link between the local network and the remote platform,and successfully realizes remote data interaction.The remote platform can obtain the traffic information data collected by the traffic information detection system and issue instructions.This paper completes the time synchronization design and low power consumption design of the system node,realizes the time synchronization of the system node,reduces the working power consumption of the system node,and enhances the durability and service life of the system.To meet the traffic information detection needs of signalized intersections,this paper proposes traffic information detection algorithms such as traffic flow detection method,vehicle speed detection method,queuing length detection algorithm based on the detection parameters of traffic flow and vehicle speed,and signal intersection saturation determination method based on the traffic information detection system.The example verifies the vehicle flow,vehicle speed detection algorithm and the basic functions of the system.The queuing length detection algorithm was simulated and verified,and the detection error was analyzed in detail.The results show that the traffic information detection system and algorithm proposed in this paper can collect a variety of traffic information parameters more accurately and can upload the data information to the remote platform in real time.In this paper,under the condition of ensuring the normal function of the system and the collection accuracy,the layout design of the sensor nodes is optimized.The purpose of optimization is to reduce the number of system nodes as much as possible to reduce system costs and enhance system economy and practicality.
