Research On The Changes Of Public Space In Tourism Villages

With the advancement of urban and rural modernization and the development of tourism,many ethnic minority villages in Yunnan have been developed into tourism villages and embarked on the road of tourism urbanization.Northwest Yunnan ecological and cultural tourism area is a representative tourism area in Yunnan Province.The traditional villages in this area have attracted a large number of investors and tourists with their long history and culture,unique natural environment and folk customs,Under the influence of capital,tourism villages tend to focus on tourism economy and despise village construction,which leads to changes in industrial structure,social environment and material environment in varying degrees.The future development of tourism villages is facing new opportunities and challenges.Based on the above background,this paper selects Sideng village in Shaxi Town of Yunnan Province as a case study.The village is a relatively remote Bai Nationality Settlement,and its traditional dwellings maintain distinct Bai cultural characteristics,and the village space preserves unique regional characteristics.Sideng village in Shaxi has experienced many changes,from a prosperous trading town to a traditional agricultural village.In recent years,it has been transformed into a tourist village with new vitality.It is a unique tourism type traditional village in Northwest Yunnan.This paper studies the changes of public space in Sideng village from two aspects: the objective environment and the subjective cognition of the crowd.In the aspect of objective environment research,the public space environment of Sideng village is investigated and analyzed from the perspective of others,including reviewing the development history of Sideng village,studying industrial structure,social subject,cultural landscape and material environment,summarizing the change characteristics of objective environment of Sideng village combining with various contents;and collecting and sorting out the investigation method of cognitive map in the aspect of subjective cognition research In this paper,the author tries to combine image map and emotional map to show the understanding of different groups on village space,including environmental cognition and emotional memory,and summarize the changes of spatial cognition of Sideng village.Combined with the research results of objective environment and subjective cognition,this paper summarizes the direct reasons,main driving forces,stable foundation and practice subjects of public space change in Sideng village,evaluates the current situation of public space in Sideng village and puts forward some suggestions for future development.
