An Exploratory Study Of Design Thinking And Application Of Smart Product Based On Blockchain Of Things

Blockchain has the characteristics of decentralization,distributed storage,tamper-proof,traceability,collective maintenance,smart contracts,and anonymity,etc.With the rapid development of the blockchain technology,more and more companies or industries are actively paying attention to and trying to apply the technology.The combination of the Internet of Things and blockchain is one of the important research directions.As the China Communications Standards Association and the International Telecommunication Union(ITU)clearly put forward the concept of BoT(Blockchain of Things),the integrated development of "Io T(Internet of Things)+ Blockchain" will form complementary advantages and become the focus of related industries and academics.BoT technology will certainly stimulate the birth of a new generation of smart products for mass consumers,but related theories and application research are still very scarce.At present,the relevant research is almost all about technical interpretation or specific code implementation,but there is a lack of guiding design methods in practical applications.As a new technology,BoT urgently needs to be understood and mastered by designers so as to explore potential market opportunities and develop new products.Therefore,this paper attempts to explore design thinking and product design models based on BoT.This paper uses literature review method,comparative analysis method,system analysis method,case study method,graphic analysis method,etc.First,this paper systematically sorts out and analyzes the origin,concept,characteristics,reference model of Blockchain and BoT.Second,this paper attempts to combine BoT technology with design thinking from the perspective of the Blockchain Thinking,and finally proposes BoT Design Thinking,which is used to show the diverse perspectives of BoT technology to guide the optimization and creation of new generation smart products.Third,this paper proposes the BoT Product Design Model,and further analyzes the system elements and levels of the model,expresses its applicability and limitations,and elaborates its general procedures for practical applications,including business direction analysis,key node analysis,hardware Function analysis,interactive process analysis,contract function analysis.Finally,the BoT Design Thinking and the BoT Product Design Model are brought into the two cases of remote smart seal and smart wheelchair for analysis and display.The BoT Design Thinking and BoT Product Design Model will help designers and design researchers to better apply the blockchain technology to the process of smart product design and development,and promote convenient and graphical communication with programming technicians.This research will promote the theoretical research and practical application of BoT,and promote the exploration of potential market opportunities to seize the opportunity.
