In recent years,global warming has led to continuous melting of sea ice in the Arctic Ocean.Therefore,the possibility of opening the Arctic Ocean Channel is increasing.This newly opened route will inevitably have an important impact on the international maritime transport pattern,and at the same time it will bring major opportunities for the development of the world economy.The design of ship structures and analysis of shipping performance in ice areas have drawn more attention,especially the research on icebreaking resistance of icebreakers.Countries are developing the new icebreaker technology,such as the underwater icebreaker-submarine’s floating icebreaking technology.To develop the submarine’s technology of floating up to break the ice,it is necessary to study the ice resistance of the submarine.At present,there is very little research on submarine floating up to break the ice at home and abroad.Therefore,based on the combination of theoretical calculation and numerical simulation,this paper establishes a system mechanical analysis for the process of the submarine floating up to break the ice.The main research contents are as follows:(1)Based on the theory of plate and shell mechanics,the ice breaking force calculation model of the submarine conning tower is studied,the magnitude of the ice breaking force of the submarine conning tower is calculated,and the applicability of the calculation model is verified.Then,a parametric analysis is performed on the ice breaking force calculation model of the submarine conning tower.(2)Based on the theory of fracture mechanics,the ice breaking force calculation model of the submarine hull is established to calculate the ice breaking force of the submarine hull.Then,a parametric analysis is performed on the ice breaking force calculation model of the submarine hull.(3)Based on ANSYS / LS-DYNA,a numerical model of submarine-ice plate is established.The influence of grid size on the calculation accuracy of numerical model is analyzed.In addition,the validity of the numerical model in this paper is verified by comparison with the real process on a submarine floating up to break the ice.Then,a comparison verification between the theoretical calculation model and the numerical model is performed.Finally,a parametric analysis is performed on the numerical model in this paper.
