Modern power systems are large in scale and closely related to each other.An information-based,highly automated distribution automation system is very important for the operation monitoring,protection,and management of the distribution network.The FTU is an important device in the system.Once a fault occurs,the system can quickly and accurately determine the fault area based on the information reported by the FTU,and send remote control instructions to the FTU.Therefore,the research on FTU design and monitoring algorithm is of great significance.This paper introduces a fault monitoring method based on FTU remote control that is compatible with modern power distribution systems.The power distribution system is the basic power supply method and the end of the power supply system.Due to the complex geographical environment,wide coverage,installation of decentralized equipment and many low-voltage end users,it has been the implementation of the power company's power distribution system and remote control system,and has also entered the company's operations and management.Although the rural power grid has been modernized many times due to inadequate planning and major line selection methods,the structure of the power grid is still incomplete and the operation mode is not flexible,especially due to the defects in the path and terrain of the line,local economic development has been affected Severe constraints.Based on the analysis of the current situation of the distribution network,this paper expounds the necessity and urgency of establishing a monitoring system for the distribution network.By establishing the FTU network,the section where the faulty line is located,and by constructing and applying a remote monitoring system,the expected goal is achieved.The establishment of a remote control system for the distribution network completely solves the problem of "blind positioning" of the power grid,reduces the workload of operation and maintenance personnel,improves the security of power supply to the grid,improves the management efficiency and image of the power company,and brings the Great economic benefits.
