Urban water-logging disaster seriously affects the normal operation of the city and threatens the residents’ lives and property.Urban planning and construction has a profound impact on urban water-logging.With the rapid development of economy and the rapid expansion of cities,the permeability of the original surface decreases and the surface sink flow increases,which makes the original rainwater pipe network face a huge test.The old town’s poor rainwater system and the increase of extreme rainfall caused by global climate change have aggravated the occurrence of urban water-logging disasters.Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct a simulation study on urban rainwater network and transform the rainwater network in old urban areas to reduce water-logging disasters.Because of the traditional formula method in the large area’s reconstruction and planning of networks has a big error,the hydrological and hydrodynamic model is more and more widely used in the urban construction and reconstruction projects.Among them,Mike model is a coupling model,which can couple multiple single models and establish a variety of urban geographical environment to simulate the process of water-logging.It reflects a more comprehensive influence of rainfall on the city.And the network data is managed and shared more efficiently based on GIS through the connection between Mike and GIS.In this paper,the author takes the central area of Xiegang town as the research area,studies the Mike model under the different designs of rainfall,evaluates the drainage capacity of the current rainwater pipe network,and a series of renovation schemes were proposed to improve the drainage capacity in view of its shortcomings,then analyzes the effect of the renovation plans through Mike model.Finally,in view of the deficiency of network renovation measures,Suggestions on sponge renovation in residential areas are put forward from the perspective of runoff control.The simulation results of the study area’s rainwater pipe network show that the drainage capacity of the rainwater pipe network in Xiegang Town is poor and the whole system only can deal with the rainfall which takes place once in two years.The main causes of water-logging are that the rainwater pipes are too small and the catchments are too big.Only by increasing the pipe diameter can not achieve the goal.So adding the storage tank on this basis can improve the drainage capacity to dealwith the rainfall which takes place once in 10 years.However,increasing the storage tank only can relieve the drainage pressure of the system.In order to fundamentally solve the urban water-logging problems,it is necessary to control the runoff in the source.So Sponge City reconstruction is an important method to reduce water-logging disaster in the central area of Xiegang town.
