With the continuous popularization of automobiles and the development of automobile technology, the steering stability of automobiles has always been a research hotspot by scholars. In the course of research, many control methods for vehicle steering stability have emerged, mainly focusing on active steering, wheel anti-skid,steering drive coupling, and differential braking.Aiming at the situation of insufficient yaw moment or excessive yaw moment when the vehicle is turning, this paper uses the method of differential braking to improve the safety and efficiency of the vehicle through the curve. The main research contents are as follows:(1)According to the specific parameters of the vehicle under study,Carsim is used for parametric modeling, and the two-degree-of-freedom car model is used as the ideal model. The validity of the built Carsim parameterized model is verified.(2)An in-depth theoretical analysis of the cause of vehicle instability was conducted.Simulink modeling was used to analyze the influence of the center-ofmass lateral angle and yaw rate on vehicle stability.Taking the two factors into consideration,a vehicle instability judgment model is established, and a braking force distribution strategy is formulated.(3)Using the differential braking stability control method,a two-degree-offreedom vehicle model, instability judgment module, fuzzy control module, and braking force distribution module are established in Matlab / Simulink, and a compensation torque will be generated when the vehicle steering is unstable Adjust the driving status of the vehicle.(4)Carsim and Matlab / Simulink co-simulation platform were connected, and three operating conditions were selected: double shift line, steering wheel angle step input and steering wheel attenuation sine wave input to verify the designed controller. The results show that the differential braking method has an ideal effect on improving the steering stability of the vehicle.
