Bridge crane plays an important role in the development of modern industry,and its demand is increasing day by day.It is widely used in industrial and mining enterprises,ports and logistics transportation site.Bridge frame structure is the main load-bearing component of bridge crane,under the premise of meeting the design requirements,research on the method of lightweight design of its structure,to reduce the maximum weight of the structure,not only can save energy and reduce emissions,but also for the development of lifting machinery has very important significance,has great research value.Particle swarm optimization(PSO)and genetic algorithm(GA)are the two most widely used optimization algorithms with rapid development in recent years.However,when applied to engineering optimization problems,particle swarm optimization(PSO)often falls into local optimal solution due to premature convergence.And the genetic algorithm has the problem of poor local search ability.Therefore,based on the study of the basic principles of particle swarm optimization(PSO)and genetic algorithm,this paper combines the two algorithms and proposes an improved PSO-GA hybrid optimization algorithm for particle swarm optimization(PSO)by comparing their performance and advantages and disadvantages.This algorithm takes particle swarm optimization(PSO)as the basic framework and fuses the crossover operator of genetic algorithm.Compared with elementary particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm,the introduction of crossover operator of genetic algorithm can intelligently adjust the population evolution in the process of optimization,which improves the optimization accuracy and increases the robustness of the algorithm.This paper proposes an improved method for the shortcomings of elementary particle swarm optimization(PSO).The hybrid algorithm is applied to the lightweight design of middle rail box bridge structure of bridge crane.The design results show that the dead weight of the optimized rear frame structure is reduced by 13.025% compared with the original model.In order to verify therationality of the lightweight design model,the bridge structure model after the lightweight design is modeled by Solidworks software and imported into ANSYS Workbench software for finite element analysis.The simulation results verify the feasibility of applying the PSO-GA hybrid algorithm to the optimal design of bridge structure for bridge cranes.
