Earthen sites are treasures left by ancestors,whose value is incalculable.Due to the drought and lack of rain in Northwest China,many earthen sites have been preserved.However,many areas in Northwest China are semi desert areas.When building earth sites,soil is taken locally,resulting in less fine particles and larger coarse particles in the earth sites.Under the long-term action of various natural forces such as wind and rain,the fine particles between the coarse particles are continuously lost,and eventually develop into various diseases,which poses a huge threat to the preservation of earth sites.In order to simulate the loss of sand and clay in the site soil and explore the influence of particle size on the physical and mechanical propertie s of the site soil,this paper designs sample groups with different particle size gradations,and studies the differences in mechanical strength,wind erosion resistance and disintegration resistance through experiments,then uses SH material to reinforce the above sample groups with different particle size gradations,and uses the same experiment methods to observe the effect of reinforcement.Finally,the micro analysis of samples with different gradation and SH solid content is carried out.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)When the content of sand and gravel in the site soil increases and the content of clay and silt decreases,the mechanical strength and wind erosion resistance performance decrease obviously,especially the lack of cohesion between the coarse and fine particles.The fine particles in the pores of the coarse particles are easily lost under the action of wind and rain,which makes the stability of the soil body worse.These results are obviously not conducive to the continuous outdoor natural camp Earth ruins destroyed by force.(2)When sh material is added to the soil,the mechanical strength,wind erosion resistance and disintegration resistance of the soil will be significantly improved.Especially for the earth sites,the wind erosion resistance and disintegration resistance are particularly important.When the solid content of SH reaches 0.7%,even for the sample group with 40% sand and gravel content and 5.48% clay content,the wind erosion loss rate and disintegration rate will be improved The loss rate is obviously reduced.(3)Through the micro test,it is found that although the fine particles fill the pores between the coarse particles after the content of the coarse particles increases and the content of the fine particles decreases,the cohesive force between them is insufficient,and there are a large number of small pores in the bond,which leads to the flow loss of the fine particles between the coarse particles.However,SH material can significantly improve the cohesion between soil particles.When the solid content of SH increases to 0.7%,the film binder can be formed.
