The scheme of opening axial ventilation holes in the rotor yoke can effectively improve the heat dissipation ability of a motor.At present,there are many researches on the temperature rise of a motor with axial ventilation holes,but these researches on electromagnetic performance of motors are not enough.In this paper,the method of combining theoretical calculation with finite element analysis is used to analyze electromagnetic performance of a motor with axial ventilation holes in the rotor yoke and the accuracy of electromagnetic performance calculation is improved.In this paper,A compact medium-sized and high voltage induction motor named YXKK355-4 ? 400 k W is taken as the research target.Two-dimensional physical models are established based on the design theory and the relevant dimension parameters of the medium-sized and high-voltage induction motors.The electromagnetic performance of each part in the motors with or without axial ventilation holes which are in the rotor yoke is compared and analyzed by two-dimensional finite element simulation.The different of electromagnetic performance of motors with or without axial ventilation holes in the rotor yoke is obtained and the accuracy of electromagnetic calculation of a motor with axial ventilation holes is improved.In order to perfect the analysis about the influence of electromagnetic performance of the motors with axial ventilation holes in the rotor yoke,the different opening schemes are analyzed.At last,the variation rules about magnetic field of rotor teeth,rotor yoke,and air gap coefficient are obtained,which has an very important reference value.The power factor and efficiency of the motor with the original opening scheme are much reduced.Therefore,this paper improves the opening position,number and size of the axial ventilation holes by a large number of analysis and simulation certification.Electromagnetic performance of the motor with improved ventilation holes is improved.The stability and reliability of the motor are guaranteed,and thelife of the motor is also prolonged which can provide more theoretical support for the opening axial ventilation holes of medium-sized and high voltage induction motors.
