Adaptive Cruise Control System(ACC),as an important link in the development of Advanced Driver Assistance System(ADAS),mainly controls the longitudinal movement of vehicles.The multi-objective adaptive cruise control system with multiple performance is the main direction of future development,and also an important part of the development of driverless cars in the intelligent network environment,and the economic adaptive cruise system is the core branch of the multi-objective adaptive cruise system.In this paper,according to the working mode of the adaptive cruise vehicle and the relative motion relation with the target vehicle,the coupling driving task is divided into two modes according to the different traffic environment: self-driving mode without the front vehicle and following mode with the front vehicle.Driving safety is a prerequisite for the function realization of adaptive cruise control system.Therefore,under the premise of ensuring safety and considering terrain conditions,this paper takes ramps as a typical traffic scene in self-propelled driving mode,and establishes an economic cruise control strategy under the conditions of ramps.Considering multi-objective coordination optimization,a variable weight multi-objective optimization cruise control strategy based on fuel economy was established in the following vehicle driving mode.Considering the terrain condition,the ramp is regarded as the typical traffic scene in the self-driving mode,and the economical cruise control strategy under the ramp condition is established.Considering the multi-objective coordination optimization,a variable weight multi-objective optimization cruise control strategy based on fuel economy is established under the premise of ensuring safety.Aiming at the vehicle economy cruise control strategy under two different working mechanisms,the following contents are mainly studied:(1)Proposed the vehicle economy adaptive cruise control system architecture.A safe distance model based on economy is established,and an adaptive cruise control strategy is designed to improve the economy as the main target and give consideration to both safety,tailability and comfort,so as to effectively reduce fuel consumption while meeting the performance requirements of the adaptive cruise system.(2)Considering the influence of road terrain on vehicle fuel economy,a ramp economy cruise control strategy based on high-precision digital map was proposed for self-propelled driving mode,which realized fuel saving control of vehicles in ramp sections and improved the environmental adaptability and predictability of the model.In the following driving mode,the variable weight multi-objective economic cruise control algorithm is designed by using hierarchical control to improve the applicability and flexibility of the economic control strategy in the multi-source information traffic scenario,and the model predictive control algorithm is used to realize the multi-objective planning of the adaptive cruise system.(3)The MATLAB/CARSIM joint simulation test platform was used to set up ramp and typical traffic scene experiments,to carry out simulation verification and result analysis of the economic cruise control strategy proposed in this paper.The results of the joint simulation show that the economy of the ramp economy cruise control algorithm in the selfdriving mode is 3.8%,11.8%,9.6% and 11.5% higher than that of the traditional cruise control algorithm in the four typical ramp sections.The variable weight multi-objective economic cruise control algorithm in the following vehicle driving mode has been verified by collision risk assessment,which ensures good safety and tracking performance.Compared with the traditional model predictive control algorithm,the improved ACC consumes 124.494 g of fuel in the combined road,reducing fuel consumption by 11.6% compared with the preceding vehicle.The economical cruise control algorithm under the two modes can effectively improve the fuel economy of cruise system on the basis of considering other performance.
