The raw bamboo tube is different from traditional building materials like wood and concrete.It has some unsatisfactory features such as poor durability.In order to show the advantages of bamboo tube,this paper tests the mechanical properties of the bamboo tube and uses numerical simulation’s result to analyze these properties.Meanwhile,this paper introduces a spatial grid structure composed of triangular elements building from the bamboo tubes which has high practical value.Taking Huzhou bamboo as research material,the axial compression tests of different length specimens with different constraints are carried out to study the ultimate bearing capacity.Combined with the common bamboo tube failure forms in actual engineering,the tests and analysis of the shear resistance mechanical properties of bamboo tube are carried out.The bending mechanical properties of 2-meter bamboo tube are also tested by two points loading.By taking compare of the bending strength of bamboo tube under different constraints,the restraining effect of hoop on the development of crack is analyzed.Using the ABAQUS,the bamboo tube calculation entity model is established based on the material performance test data.A numerical simulation method for the compression,shear and bending specimens of bamboo tubes is proposed while the end hoop effect is considered.Meanwhile,a multi-layer model of bamboo tube based on the difference of elastic modulus and fiber distribution is proposed.In order to solve the unsatisfactory features of bamboo,combined with the experimental results,a grid system structure of bamboo triangle elements whose bamboo tubes can be dynamically replaced easily and a double-tube caliper connection form which is easy to install and disassemble is proposed.In order to verify the reliability of the structural system and the connection form,the mechanical properties of the original bamboo double-layer triangular unit and the quadrangular pyramid unit are tested.This paper also constructs the single-layer and double-layer original bamboo space grid structure units to compare in terms of the stiffness and bearing by experiment.SAP2000 is used to analyze the mechanical characteristics of single-layer grid structure. |
