The stability of frame columns is a key factor affecting the seismic performance of frame structures,and the performance of column base joints is a key factor affecting the damage control of the column.However,the research on the stability performance of columns corresponding to column base joints is very deficient at present.Therefore,based on a new type of column base joint with slip-friction arc endplates proposed by our research group at the same time,this paper extends it to H-shaped column with sliding friction joints at both ends,and makes a study on the axial compression stability and dynamic stability of this new steel column by means of ANSYS finite element method.The main content are as follows:(1)The process of fine modeling of H-shaped steel column with column end slip friction joints is introduced in detail,and the influences of nonlinear,geometric initial defects and residual stresses are considered.(2)The parametric analysis of the axial compressive stability of H-shaped steel column with column end slip friction joints is conducted,the influence of residual stress,geometric initial defects,slenderness ratio,height-width ratio of the web and widththickness ratio of the flange on ultimate bearing capacity are discussed,and the variation law of standard H-shaped steel column under the same conditions is compared.(3)The dynamic stability of H-shaped steel column with column end slip friction joints and standard H-shaped steel column under the combined axial load and transverse reciprocating load is compared and analyzed,and the variation law of hysteretic behavior of both is obtained.The feasibility of the new column is analyzed from three aspects: energy dissipation effect,motion form and damage degree.In summary,compared with the standard H-shaped steel column,the H-shaped steel column with column end slip friction joints has a certain degree of reduction in bearing capacity.However,its hysteresis loop is fuller and without pinch phenomenon,the energy dissipation capacity has been significantly improved,and the expected rotation can occur without the column axial shortening caused by buckling,and can achieve the design goal of lossless energy.
