| As social and cultural environment constantly changes,it can be seen that the historical and cultural blocks are in a new development dilemma in the face of the comprehensive penetration of the era discourse and the impact of a variety of new tourism formats. What’s more, the values, preferences, thoughts and interests demand of contemporary people have a subtle impact on the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage in the blocks. As for this phenomenon,it shows the "invention to tradition" by symbols in the field of historical and cultural blocks, that is,the tradition responds to the new context,in which these new contexts refers to the old contexts. Thus, landscape text is generated in the process of production, integration and coding of these symbols. But the producer of the text cannot guarantee that the information is read, interpreted and transmitted by the tourists in the expected way.Meanwhile, the meaning of the final text is generated through the interpretation of tourists, which has the characteristic of openness. In view of this, this paper takes Pingjiang historical and cultural block as the case, and Suzhou garden culture as the starting point.Through the analysis of tourists’ perception,it studies the production of landscape elements in the block and the generation process of meaning, which also carries out interdisciplinary practice, and provides new ideas for the protection of heritage and development of cultural landscape in historical blocks. In this paper,it is guided by the theories of discourse analysis, semiotics and intertextuality.Firstly,it makes statistics on the elements of landscape in the block through field observation, which analyzes the spatial characteristics and forms of element community penetration, and seeks for rules. Then,it uses the Q method and takes photos as the carrier to let tourists sort the different landscape scenes in Pingjiang historical block.Through factor analysis and combining the interviews with tourists,it obtains the perception characteristics of different types of tourists. Finally,it analyzes the intertextuality characteristics of tourists’ interpretation, which further explains the causes of tourists’ perception differences.According to the results,it shows that the text of landscape elements in Pingjiang historical and cultural block is the result of the absorption, transformation and development of historical text and other block texts, which exists the process of intertextuality generation.Besides,it shows different ways and features of infiltration in different spaces of the block.Based on the perception results of tourists on different space landscape elements in the block and the attitude and characteristics reflected, tourists can be divided into three types, including the group with garden courtyard preference, those with unclear classification between garden landscape elements and canal towns elements along southern Yangtze River, and tourists trending to associate garden landscape elements with artistic concepts. The differences in the perception of the three types of tourists reflect the process of different intertextuality interpretation. The tourists who trend to associate garden landscape elements with artistic concepts build relationships between elements and symbols, and then they interpret the signification of the symbol.By recalling the p ast garden experience, the tourists with garden courtyard preference interpret the text of the elements of the garden landscape based on the courtyard space as "reproduced text" of the garden landscape they have visited. As for the "new text"formed by combining garden landscape elements with other texts in the block, tourists who cannot classification clearly between garden landscape elements and canal towns elements along southern Yangtze River interpret these texts through an open way. |
