Hydrostatic thrust bearing has been widely used in machine tool equipment because of its low friction coefficient,excellent damping characteristics and smooth operation.With the development of domestic machinery manufacturing industry,the requirements for the rotation speed and bearing capacity of hydrostatic thrust bearing are higher and higher.However,under the condition of high speed and heavy load,the high speed shearing between the turntable and the oil film causes the temperature of the lubricating oil to rise sharply,which leads to the decrease of the viscosity of the lubricating oil and the reduction of the bearing capacity,resulting in a large number of static pressure loss.In order to solve the above problems,a new type of adaptive tilting oil pad is proposed,a semicircle convex body is arranged at the bottom of the hydrostatic oil pad,which can make the oil pad produce an inclination angle during operation,then form the dynamic pressure and compensate the static pressure loss,so that the hydrostatic thrust bearing can run stably under the high speed and heavy load condition.The adaptive double rectangular hydrostatic thrust bearing developed by the“Institute of lubrication theory and thrust bearing” is taken as the research object.Its working principle and structural characteristics are introduced.Theoretical equations such as bearing capacity equation,flowrate equation,temperature rise equation and thermoelastic deformation equation are derived.The viscosity temperature relationship equation of lubricating oil is compiled into the simulation solution process by using ANSYS Fluent UDF module.ANSYS Fluent and Workbench software are used to analyze the influence of different load,inlet flow and speed on oil film and friction pair temperature characteristics.Take 4t asthe unit step size,and take nine working conditions in the range of 0t to 32 t as the research condition,through theoretical calculation,the matching relationship between load and speed under extreme conditions is obtained,the oil film pressure field and temperature field under extreme conditions are simulated by Fluent software,as body load,the simulation results are imported into workbench software and loaded to the surface where oil film come into contact with the friction pair,the influence of force deformation and thermal deformation on the deformation of friction pair is discussed,and the optimum working range is obtained.The adaptive hydrostatic thrust bearing test-bed is established.With the load of 12 t,the temperature sensors,pressure sensors and displacement sensors are used to collect the lubrication performance parameters under the conditions of different rotation speed,verify the correctness of numerical simulation analysis.
