With the deepening of urbanization in China’s metropolis,the land area of urban construction continues to increase.The urbanization has brought heavy pressure on the city’s ecological environment.In the process of urban development in China,urban planning and design of large cities tend to emphasize urban scale and economic benefits,which leads to the construction of many large cities and the formation of urban forms dominated by circle diffusion.This has brought about more serious problems such as haze,air pollution,and urban heat island effect.An important reason for this serious environmental consequence is the lack of consideration of incorporating climate factors into existing planning systems in current urban planning.It is necessary to incorporate quantitative research and evaluation of urban climate into the urban planning and management.Not only in the process of urban master planning,control detailed planning,urban design,but also in the current land spatial planning.It can be foreseen that this will become one of the important issues that need to be paid attention to and need to be studied and discussed in the future national land planning system of large cities in China.This paper first analyzes the impact of current urbanization on urban ventilation environment,the significance of urban ventilation on urban climate improvement and the realistic background of residents’ demand for good urban climate.It also describes the importance of quantitative analysis and planning design evaluation of urban ventilation corridors for urban health and sustainable development.Secondly,after reviewing the domestic and international urban ventilation environment,porous medium theory and climate adaptive urban design research,existing problems and development trends of the current urban ventilation environment research content and methods are clarified.Thirdly,the porous media model is used to quantitatively simulate the ventilation environment of simulation experiment area in Hangzhou Chengxi,and the measured data is used to verify the simulation error to ensure the accuracy of the quantitative simulation and the credibility of the application.Then,taking Hangzhou Future Science and Technology City as the specific object and region of applied research,the above-mentioned porous medium model is combined with the urban design achievements that the current planning management department has compiled to carry out numerical simulation of the medium-scale ventilation environment and optimize the planning strategies of urban ventilation corridor.Finally,from the perspective of urban design compilation,the results of the quantitative research of urban ventilation corridors and the characteristics of ventilation characteristics are incorporated into the existing urban design in three stages:research stage,planning and design preparation stage and optimization stage.And an innovative work method of "guidance-planning-inspection-improvement" is proposed.It is believed that this technical process will be beneficial to improve the scientific and enforceability of urban ventilation corridor planning and design.
