High Speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(HSPMSM)has many advantages,the most prominent of which are miniaturization,fast dynamic response,and direct connection with high-speed loads to improve system transmission efficiency.With its "high-frequency,high-speed,high-power density" characteristics,HSPMSM has been widely used in aviation,ships and other military equipment and general motor industry.For example: high speed centrifuge,turbocharger system,micro gas turbine-high-speed distributed power generation system,etc.While HSPMSM is widely used,it also bring some key technical problems.In addition to the most basic electromagnetic and structural design,comprehensive consideration and analysis of rotor strength and stiffness,protection of permanent magnets,temperature rise calculation and cooling and heat dissipation,and rotor dynamics are required.This paper carries out research work according to the following circumstance: the HSPMSM with surface-mounted permanent magnet rotor structure is easy to cause high temperature irreversible demagnetization of the permanent magnet due to the higher temperature rise or the permanent magnet is mechanically damaged by the high-speed centrifugal force due to the unreasonable design of rotor's sleeve.This paper takes a 10 kW,24000r/min Transverse Excitation High Speed Permanent Magnet Motor(TEHSPMM)as the research object,and carries out analysis work from the aspects of electromagnetic design,electromagnetic characteristics simulation,rotor strength and rotor dynamics.The primary research works are as follows:Firstly,based on the analysis of the structural characteristics the stator,rotor and other parts of the TEHSPMM,combined with the three-dimensional characteristics of the magnetic flux inside the motor,the unique equivalent magnetic circuit model is built and the calculation formula of magnetic resistance of the key part is given.In addition,the paper proposes a new type of stator hybrid transverse excitation structure motor,and through preliminary finite element analysis verified that the hybrid transverse excitation structure of electric excitation auxiliary permanent magnet has good electromagnetic performance.Secondly,combining on the design features of the related HSPMSM and the TEHSPMM mentioned in this paper,the design scheme of the TEHSPMM when the design index is 10 kWand 24000r / min is given.By using ANSOFT Maxwell software,the electromagnetic characteristics of the motor have been simulated through the three-dimensional finite element method,and through the analysis of the simulation results of the no-load and full-load performance of the lateral excitation structure motor,the rationality of the electromagnetic design scheme is verified.Finally,the stress and modal analysis modules in ANSYS Workbench are used to analyze the stress and dynamic characteristics of the rotor of the TEHSPMM.In order to verify the strength of the rotor,through the analysis of stress distribution of the rotor when using different materials of sleeve,different thicknesses of sleeve and different operating temperatures;In addition,in order to prevent the rotor from being at a critical speed and causing resonance phenomena and causing damage,the natural frequencies and vibration modes of each order of the rotor are determined,and the speed values of each order of the rotor are accurately calculated.The above analysis can prove that the stress distribution and vibration mode of the rotor meet the design requirements.
