Freeform optical surface is also known as non-rotational symmetric optical surface.With the wide application of freeform optical surface,there is an increasing demand for processing high-quality freeform optical surface.In order to meet the need for processing freeform optical surface,a long-stroke fast tool servo(FTS)is designed in the thesis.Through the analysis on the structure,dynamic characteristics and experiment of the FTS,the thesis is of important and practical engineering significance for improving the development and accuracy of the FTS.Main studies in the thesis include: on the premise of referring to a large number of bibliographies,the author analyzes the key technologies of FTS processing,elaborates on problems arising in the processing of FTS based on the characteristics of FTS processing and selects the combination of “voice coil motor + air flotation mechanism” after comparing the driving mode and guide structure;By combining the operating principle of aerostatic slideways and aerostatics,a porous restrictor is applied to design the air flotation guide mechanism.In line with the design requirements and actual conditions,the closed,porous and square static slide guide is selected to determine the size of the air flotation guide mechanism;The ANSYS Workbench simulation software is applied to make static analysis on the air flotation guide mechanism,study the natural frequency of the system and avoid FTS resonance;In the end,the FTS installation and debugging of the voice coil motor,guide mechanism,limit device and displacement detector are completed.Given the structural characteristics of FTS,the theoretical dynamic model of FTS is established based on the substructure method and Lagrange theory;the SolidWorks model is inputted into Adams,and the mass and constraint conditions are added to establish the equivalent dynamic model and analyze the system model.The analytical method is applied to figure out the natural frequency of the system,which provides a reference for the dynamic characteristics analysis of FTS.To construct the FTS control system platform,a FTS is designed and developed,the ACR9000 motion controller is selected,together with the Copley drive,Akribis voice coil motor,and Renishaw linear scale;the software design of host computer,driver parameter settings and PID adjustment are completed and repeated positioning accuracy tests are carried out.Through the analysis of the experiment,the result shows that average surface error is controlled at the micrometer scale and the structure designed in thesis is quite stable,which provides a reference and foundation for the development of the FTS.
