Research On The Colour Of Children's Medical Space Based On Biophilic Design

The development of medicine has seen the focus on hospital space design gradually evolve from a functional research basis to its influences on patient psychology.Recent developments in patient psychology research promote the Biophilic Design theory,which is based in the idea that design should reflect human instinct to be close to nature.It puts forward the use of natural systems and processes in architectural space design in order to construct a positive interaction between human beings and nature.In the field of medical treatment,the main goal is to ease the psychological pressure hospital users experience and achieve the effect of a healing environment.This paper is based on the Biophilic Design theory to research the colour in children's medical space.From the suggestions of Biophilic Design,this paper attempts to analyse the intrinsic relationship between hospital space colour and psychological pressure in patients.The purpose of this is to improve the psychological pressure of children's hospital users by creating a healing environment through Biophilic-colour Design.Using the case study conducted by the Children's Hospital o Fudan University,this paper explores the process and influencing factors of psychological stress relief in hospital users when in the Biophilic-colour environment,and further interprets the methods and functions of Biophilic-colour Design.Questionnaire surveys,behavior tracking,and colour preference tests to analyse user-specific needs,all provide an objective basis for understanding the effects of colour configuration in children's medical space design.Finally,this paper summarises the design strategy and operation method of Biophilic-colour in children's hospitals,and applies this to the reconstruction plan of the Children's Hospital of Fudan University to verify it uses and success.This kind of design of children's hospital with the concept of Biophilic-colour Design as its core can provide referential ideas and operation modes for the humanised construction of medical environment,can further expand the application scope and design methods of the Biophilic Design concept,and contribute to the development of medical space.
