As the aging of the city continues to deepen,the problems caused by aging are also increasing.Among them,the problem of elderly travel is a key concern of the society.In addition,due to the improvement of the living standards of the elderly,more and more elderly people in the city choose to drive or take a car to travel,and the problem of parking difficulties for the elderly is becoming more and more serious.Taking Hangzhou as an example,the paper uses the survey and questionnaire survey(the elderly travel situation,the use of parking spaces for the elderly)to understand the current situation and existing problems of the elderly and parking spaces in Hangzhou,analyze the reasons and put forward corresponding suggestions and The countermeasures aim to solve the difficulties and problems encountered by the elderly in Hangzhou during the travel and parking process,and to ensure the safe and convenient travel of the elderly.The research results of the article are mainly reflected in the following aspects:(1)In the process of traveling for the elderly in Hangzhou,there are problems such as high walking hazard,poor riding environment,imperfect construction of barrier-free facilities,difficulty in obtaining or identifying traffic information for the elderly,and the number of barrier-free parking spaces in the elderly during parking is relatively small.The parking space is not enough width.(2)Based on the data analysis of the elderly travel questionnaire,a number of logistic regression models were established to study various factors affecting the frequency of travel of the elderly.The results of the model analysis showed that the variables "gender","age","physical status","monthly income","residence mode","whether parking is difficult",etc.have a significant impact on the frequency of travel of the elderly.(3)An elderly parking space width experiment was conducted.The experimental results show that the minimum parking space size required by the elderly in different health conditions is not the same,so a parking space setting scheme targeting the elderly is proposed.Based on the barrier-free standard parking space,we design a parking space width suitable for the elderly to take the car,that is,6.00 × 3.40m parking space(suitable for wheelchair elderly)and 6.00× 2.60m parking space(suitable for normal elderly use).In the actual parking space setting,taking into account the efficiency of the use of parking spaces for the elderly,the size design is the former(6.00 × 3.40m),not only to meet the needs of various types of elderly,but also to allow disabled people,pregnant women,etc.to be included in the permitted population.(4)The paper puts forward corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for the problems existing in the travel and parking process of the elderly,and combines the parking space width formula to spatially configure the parking spaces of the elderly.It is found that in the same situation,the parking spaces for the elderly are more than the barrier-free standard parking.It is more advantageous in the space of using the parking lot.This paper is helpful to improve the travel and parking problems of the elderly in Hangzhou under the old society,and provide reference for the formulation of the corresponding rules and regulations and the construction of urban accessibility systems.The concept and size design of the parking space for the elderly can be no for the city.The theoretical development of the continued development of barrier parking spaces.
