At present, there are two main methods of electricity transmission for residents' production and consumption in China, one is ultra-high voltage transmission and the other is UHV transmission. The advantages of these two transmission methods are outstandin g.At the same time, the loss is small and the power can be transmitted to remote areas. Therefore,in some specific areas,it will cross some complicated terrains such as mountains, swamps, lakes, etc.,making the transmission line inspection difficult and workload Increase. In 2019,the construction of a world-class energy Internet enterprise with hub, platform, and sharing features proposed by the "two sessions" of the country will fully apply modern information technology and communication technologies such as mobile Internet and artificial intelligence to accelerate the construction of the ubiquitous power Internet of Things..Power line inspection has entered the era of manual inspection to machine inspection.Based on the advantages of flexible drone operation, low line inspection cost, high efficiency and fast speed, the use of UAV power line inspection gradually replaced manual inspection It has gradually become a new trend in power system inspections.First of all, according to the actual situation of line patrol, this paper finds that the complex line patrol environment cannot provide enough runways for traditional fixed-wing UAVs.Therefore, according to the actual production needs, this paper proposes a vertical take-off and landing for power line patrols that does not require runways.Fixed-wing UAV,and mathematical modeling of the UAV.Secondly, the vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV mathematical model and aerodynamic model are analyzed, and the Simulink module of MATLAB software is u sed to build the UAV system model, and the vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV is divided into fourrotor mode,fixed-wing mode and transition mode.Introduce the simple flight principle and control model of each mode separately, and combine the Simulink model built to carry out six degrees of freedom simulation on the UAV and get the simulation results. Finally, the ground control station was designed for the vertical take-off and landing fixedwing UAV for power patrol, and the map display function, flight monitoring function and trajectory planning function required for power patrol were rationally desi gned. And test the connection between the UAV and the ground station to check whether each functional module of the ground station can operate normally. The test flight of the vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV was carried out.According to the real-time flight data of the drone monitored by the ground station,it was verified that the vertical take-off and landing fixed-wing UAV proposed in this paper can fly normally and successfully complete the line patrol mission.
