Analysis Of China-Germany NEV Cooperation In The 21st Century

Against the backdrop of the rapid growth of NEV industry in the 21st century,China and Germany are actively deploying strategies in related fields,and fostering cooperation among governments,enterprises and research institutes.Both countries have great potential for NEV industry and vigorous prospects for cooperation.In order to analyse the motivations for China-Germany cooperation in NEV industry,and to reinforce reciprocity,this thesis aims at analysing how state-market interactions affect their cooperation on NEV industry based on approaches of international political economy.With emphasis on the role of governments,this thesis will explore political goals and interests of the two countries related to NEV industry,and figure out how to promote the development and cooperation of NEV industry in both countries.At the same time,this thesis will offer implications for China and Germany to deepen cooperation in NEV industry based on the motivationsThis article mainly adopts research methods including literature analyiss,comparative analysis and case analysis.Development strategies and industrial policies will be analysed.The case of Chinese enterprise CATL's cooperation programmes with Germany will be illustrated.Political objectives and interests,such as energy safety,emissions,technologies,economy,social equity,and political commitment,and their interactions with market supply and demand relations will be elaborated upon.This thesis will put forward suggestions for both countries to deepen cooperation,which is conducive to the fulfilment of industrial development and political goals.Most relevant researches are based on bilateral diplomatic and economic relations.Very few studies focus on domestic political interests as motivations for the cooperation between the two countries' NEV industry.Besides,the past decade has witnessed the soaring of NEV industrial cooperation of two countries.Thus,this thesis is innovative and time-sensitive to a certain extent,and has theoretical and practical significance.
