It's no denying that modern society has gradually entered an era of economic globalization dominated by information technology along with the popularization of Internet.Against the background,users' demands for modern products is no longer limited to basic living functions.They trend to focus more on emotional experience.Since decorative art is known as the main manifestation of human civilization development,it is widely applied to modern products,which is directly related to the sensory experience and emotional identity of users.Currently,there are some common problems exist in modern product design,which are caused by the short of users-centered design principles and methods,such as deliberate decoration and excessive decoration.In terms of the reasonable application of decoration art to modern products,the main research contents divided into three parts as follows:(1)The development process of decorative art and modern products is summarized.The research on users is taken as an important basis to clarify the user elements of modern product experience,including user need,user positioning and user behavior.(2)The genetic characteristics of decorative art are extracted from the development process of decorative art so as to understand its role in modern products.In addition,the trend of decorative art in the application of modern products is determined and the later design direction is defined according to the development of the times as well as the analysis of the effect of user need.(3)The application principle of decorative art in modern product design is drawn through the analysis of the cost,function and design of products,including feasibility principle,follow-up principle and scientific principle.Finally,the design method of decorative art in modern products is determined from the economic,functional and professional aspects of modern products.In terms of the design of decorative art in modern products,fan series products are taken as an example.The design method of decorative art in modern products is adopted to clarify the design demand and construct the corresponding design process.The empirical analysis of the application principle of decorative art above is carried out and its reference for relevant research is determined.
