The eddy current damper controls the damping force by adjusting the strength of the air gap magnetic field.lt has the characteristics of controllable damping force,high power density,fast dynamic response and continuous loading.Therefore,the application of eddy current braking technology in artillery weapon to effectively absorb recoillation energy is of great significance to further improve the performance of artillery and promote the development of artillery.In this paper,the eddy current braking technology is taken as the research object,two structural schemes are proposed,and the eddy current damper used in the gun rear-sitting process is studied by means of analytical method and electromagnetic field numerical simulation method.The research content includes the structure design of eddy current damper,the calculation method of eddy current damping force and the performance evaluation.The details are as follows:(1)The structural scheme of permanent magnet eddy current damper is proposed,and the analytical formula of eddy current damping force is derived based on the method of equivalent volume current and equivalent surface current.After determining some initial dimensions,the characteristic curve of permanent magnet eddy current damping force is obtained and the characteristics of damping force at different speeds are analyzed.(2)To improve the air gap magnetic induction intensity and achieve the goal of controllable damping force,in the structure of permanent magnet type eddy current damper based on increased the exciting winding,put forward the cylinder type structure of the hybrid excitation type eddy current damper,is derived by the equivalent magnetic circuit method and hierarchical theory of structure parameters of eddy current damper and other analytical,completed the theoretical design of eddy current damper,to be used as reference for the optimization of the structure model.(3)Maxwell electromagnetic field simulation software was used to analyze and calculate the electromagnetic field of the eddy current damper,and the distributions of the magnetic flux density,magnetic field and magnetic field strength of the eddy current damper were obtained.After analyzing the influence of the main parameters on the characteristic curve of damping force,the structural parameters were further optimized.(4)Carry out analysis and calculation on the recoil process of a certain artillery,and obtain the recoil resistance curve of the traditional recoil device through Matlab programming;Taking the resultant force of the gun bore as the input of the eddy current damper,the ratio between the eddy current braking force and the force of the degenerator is calculated,and it is concluded that the eddy current damper can effectively absorb recoil energy and meet the requirements of recoil braking.
