China's road traffic data shows that car and two-wheeler collision accidents are one of the main forms of road traffic accidents.As a vulnerable group,two-wheeled cyclists will bear a high risk of death in road traffic accidents.As an active safety system that protects vulnerable road users,the AEB system plays an important role in the protection of the rider.The performance of the AEB system reflects the protection effect of the AEB system on the rider.Research on the performance of AEB systems for two-wheel collision accidents has become an essential part of protecting vulnerable road users.This paper firstly compiled 469 accident data of automobile and two-wheel collision accidents in the China Road Traffic Accident In-depth Study(CIDAS)database,and combined the PC-Crash software accident reconstruction results to describe the accident law.The data shows that the intersection is a frequent area of two-wheeled vehicle accidents,and the daytime is a frequent time when the light conditions are good;the car is the main accident model,and the two-wheeled vehicles are mainly motorcycles and electric two-wheelers;57%of accidents are caused by car drivers,and accidents caused by cyclists account for 43%.Secondly,this paper conducts cluster analysis on 419 accident cases through SPSS software,and analyzes the degree of accident casualties of two-wheeled vehicles in different motion states,vehicle speeds and two-wheeled vehicle speeds,and obtains 11 types of typical accident scenarios.On this basis,this paper defines a method for converting an accident scenario into a test scenario:the most common accident scenario is defined as the main test scenario,while other minor test scenarios are changed based on the main test scenario.The result is that the main test scenario is that a car goes straight through the intersection under good lighting conditions.By changing the lighting conditions,road features,car motion status and driver's vision,other five types of secondary test scenarios are obtained.Finally,in order to research the performance of AEB system,226 cases out of 419 accidents were selected in this paper to analyze braking deceleration,braking lead time and detection range of AEB system.AEB system conforming to the results was applied to the accident vehicles to predict the accident avoidance rate.Finally,the brake deceleration is 6 m/s2,the brake advance time is 1 s,the detection angle is 120°,the detection distance is 30 m,the performance of the AEB system is at its best,and 27.9%of accidents can be completely avoided.The research results can provide references for the development of AEB system and the study of AEB system testing in China,as well as data support for the formulation of relevant laws and regulations in China.
