Study On The Application Of Fabric Fiber Pleat Art In Indoor Public Space

With rapid development of science and technology,people's demand for better emotional environment grows.The spring-up of fiber art can well meet people's demand for emotional communication in indoor space.At the same time,pleat art,as a branch of fiber art,is glowing with the constant innovation of Isse Miyake,attracting the many scholars' attention and interest.At present,some scholars have begun to study the subject of “the application of pleat art in the living space”.On this basis,the author is trying to expand the research depth and explore its application value in the indoor public space.Firstly,this paper summarizes the relevant literature of fabric fiber pleat art,expounds the definition of fabric fiber pleat art,reviews the development history and cultural connotation of pleat art,and comprehends the aesthetic expression of pleat art.Pleat art has a long history.Its birth and inheritance are not accidental,but the product of people's spiritual and cultural needs.Pleat art expresses different sense of space in different forms,expresses different atmosphere by different materials.This shows the unique charm and lays a foundation for the design of fabric pleat art in the later period.Then,the paper rationally analyzes the application of fabric fiber pleat art in indoor public space.Firstly,we briefly describe the design of indoor public space.Secondly,we sort out the types of indoor public space,and review the characteristics of various types of indoor public space,so as to analyze the suitable space types for fabric fiber pleat art application.Thirdly,we discuss the design principles of fabric fiber pleat art in indoor public space.Fourthly,according to the application case of fiber art in architectural space,we explore the possibility of the application of fabric fiber pleat art in indoor public space.Fifth,we infer the advantages of fabric fiber pleat art in indoor public space.Finally,we made a study on the design practice of the indoor public space of No.8teaching building of Southwest Jiaotong University.And we independently completed two fabric pleat art works of Yuanyang Terrace series and Whale from the aspects of theme establishment,shape design and material analysis.Through all the efforts we verified the application value of fabric fiber pleat art in indoor public space.
