Distributed drive is one of the development direction of electric vehicles. One of the main characteristics of distributed drive vehicles is that the driving torque of each driving wheel could be controlled separately, and the response of driving wheel to driving torque is fast and accurate.Traction control is an important field of vehicle active safety technology. The main function of Traction control is to limit the output torque of the driving wheel, prevent excessive slip of the driving wheel when large torque is required,so as to improve the handling stability on the premise of ensuring vehicle dynamic performance. In this paper, the traction control strategy of distributed drive vehicle with independent rear wheel drive is studied.According to the characteristics of tire adhesion coefficient-slip curve,a road adhesion coefficient identification method with fewer adjustment parameters is proposed.Considering the characteristics of distributed drive vehicles, the logic of intervention and exit judgment for traction control is designed.Based on the identification results of road adhesion conditions, the target of torque control is designed when traction control intervenes, and the torque control method is designed based on the combination of PI control and fuzzy control.Simulink control models are built based on the design strategy.Carsim and Simulink are used for joint simulation.Based on the prototype of Wuling Baojun E100,the distributed drive vehicle was built up to used as a validation vehicle for traction control strategy. The simulation results and vehicle test results show that the traction control strategy designed in this paper has a good control effect on low-adhesion road surface.Compared with the situation without traction control,it greatly improves the direction stability of rearwheel drive distributed drive vehicle under the condition of large torque request.
