Driving sight distance is one of the important factors affecting road traffic safety and one of the mandatory indicators in highway engineering design.This paper focuses on the driving sight distance simulation,and studies the driving simulation system based on BIM(Building Information Modeling)and VR(Virtual Reality).Traditional two-dimensional design can only design corresponding data according to specifications,but cannot perfect design data from three-dimensional space and driver's intuitive feelings.How to consider the influence of driver's behavior on driving sight distance under the premise of conforming to the norm is a difficult problem in current research.In order to solve the above problems,the paper proposes a solution based on the integration of BIM and VR,and implements it through computer programming.The research contents are as follows.(1)Development of fast modeling program based on Revit plug-in Dynamo.The BIM technology was used to visualize the two-dimensional design data,and the parametric constraints were used to form the parametric model.With the development of Dynamo node program,the rapid three-dimensional model construction of bridges and tunnels was completed,and the visualization application of two-dimensional design data to three-dimensional space was realized.(2)BIM format conversion and VR platform integration method.The data structure of the Revit and VR platform models was analyzed,and a format conversion method based on the Revit platform was proposed.Through the secondary development of Revit,this paper realized the transformation and derivation of the geometry and attribute information of the Revit model.Through compiling Unity3 d script to read and export data,this paper completed the reconstruction of geometric information derived from Revit,and finally realized the integration of Revit model data on Unity3 d platform.(3)Virtual driving simulation method.This paper analyzed the vehicle dynamic parameters,simulated the dynamic parameters through script code,completed the driving simulation function in the virtual scene,and bound the dynamic parameters with HTC Vive development,completed the interaction between virtual and reality,and finally realized the immersive virtual driving function.(4)In this paper,a visual analysis simulation system based on BIM and VR was developed.The system integrated BIM's advantages of visibility of design data,interaction and immersion of VR,completed the functions of virtual driving scene construction,vehicle driving function simulation and real-time driving visual distance calculation,and realized the transformation from two-dimensional data to virtual threedimensional space.Through the driving simulation method combining BIM and VR,the environment can be simulated and constructed in the road design stage,and the design data can be visualized.Combining with the powerful immersion of virtual reality,it can remedy the defect of two-dimensional design to a certain extent,improve the scientific and safety of road design,and has strong practicability.It has better practical value and development prospects in road traffic design.
